The Divine Valley of Puttaparthi has been witnessing more than usual showers from above in the last few days. While it is heartening to see Chitravathi in all Her glory, this excess rainfall has also resulted in disrupting the lives of many rural folks, especially those living in the low lying areas and close to the River. To come to the rescue of the distressed and offer them comfort and solace the Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Sri RJ Rathnakar along with his family, visited the residents of Sai Nagar, Pedha Bazar, and served them with Anna Prasadam, Snacks, Fruits and Drinking Water in the presence of Puttaparthi Municipal Commissioner, MRO and CI. The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Andhra Pradesh who are present here for the Service Duty, immediately swung into action by cooking about 250 kg rice within an hours time. Apart from personally serving meals to a little more than 2000 people along with the dignitaries and elders, they also visited a hostel there and distributed clothes and blankets to the affected children. We pray to Bhagawan that He continues to provide succour and grace to the affected families in these difficult times.
