Untold blessing of being ‘Complete Balvikas’ has been conferred upon hundreds of passing out students in the 7th Annual Convention of Group III students and alumni of Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas in Prasanthi Nilayam today.
The session commenced at 1640 hrs with the customary rhythmic ‘welcome band’ invocation by the Brass Band of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Visakhapatanam. Procession of the ‘Wand of Transformation’ of Balvikas gurus, students and office bearers followed next to the backdrop of song of adoration to Mother Gayatri, “Sarvaroga Nivarini Gayatri…”
A short speech by one of the earlier year mascots, Master Sathyam Agarwal from Solan, Himachal Pradesh next had invaluable ‘chirping’ of a flowering Balvikas child, echoing values galore. Sathyam Agarwal spoke on the theme ‘SSSBV – 50 Years and more’.
Mankind has forgotten what humanness and humanity is and the only solution for all the problems of the world today is Bhagawan alone, said Sri Nimish Pandya, President, SSSSO – India, delivering the welcome address. In todays’ world marred by problems aplenty, Bhagawan is the lone answer, that He has shown us the path, the path of Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas, reminded him. Quoting Bhagawan, deliberating on human values, the AIP stressed on the need to practise, practise, practise, that being the only way.
He subseqauently announced some of the ensuing project initiatives, Sri Sathya Sai Cricket League, Sri Sathya Sai Short Film Festival and Sri Sathya Sai Leadership Programme, all aimed at the youth of the nation.
Ms. Ganga Pidatala, State Educational Coordinator, SSSBV, Telangana next administered the ‘Oath ceremony’, with en masse students and alumni following after her.
The chief guest for the occasion was His Lordship, Hon’ble Justice Mr. V. Ramasubranaian of the Supreme Court of India. Proclaiming that he is proud to be a Balvikas alumnus, belonging to the first batch of SSSBV, the chief guest touched upon the stellar character of the movement set in motion by Bhagawan, hailing the same as the only institution that makes good human beings. Certificates and diplomas in SSSBV are more valuable than the worldly certification being ordained by normal schools and colleges, observed the speaker echoing the priceless values being propagated by Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas.
A couple of CD and Compendium releases followed before the Achievement Awards for multifarious excellence, an extension from the previous session.
The last offering was a drama presentation by the West Bengal wing of SSSBV. Titled ‘The Leaf of Gratitude’, the offering was a depiction of the telling effect of Sri Sathya Sai Balvikas in the life of blossoming younger generations.
Bhajans next ended with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
