From Nothingness to Life, with seconds rolling into minutes, minutes to days, days to weeks, weeks to months and from months to years, human life is heavily chained by the illusion called ‘time’.
As the individual moves on in his journey on Earth, he often enjoys this journey, a maximum in a materialistic way, succumbing to the ‘pull and push’ of time, and the rest of the lot with greater ‘awareness’, learning the art of being, keeping ‘time’ under the grip. Under the grip of time with increasing awareness, on the threshold of something New, a New Year, Year 2020, the fraternity of His Students are wide awake to celebrate the change over in style, with greater awareness. As is the Prasanthi custom, as laid by Bhagawan, this is time of feasting His Presence ‘welcoming the new’.
Today, in this penultimate evening of the passing out year 2019, a cream of the rich talent pool of grateful alumni from the Dept. of Music, SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam, assembled at the Sanctum Sanctorum offering a gripping musical session of ‘Love n’ Gratitude’ at The Master Supreme, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai.
Titled ‘Swarachana’, the offering began with a Hindustani peace, a jugalbandhi between vocal and sitar in Rag Tilak Kamod… singing Teerat Ko Sab Karey… Dev Pooja Karey. The next piece, a Mira Bhajan, Hari Merey Jeevan Praan Adhaar…, was followed by a Carnatic number, Aparamabhaktiyendho…, and flowed on with a composition on ‘Maa Sai’, Terey Aankhon Se Mein Ne Dhuniya Dekhi Hey Maa…, Sai Teri Yaad Maha Sukhadaayi…, a nostalgic number on all-conquering love of Beloved Mother Sai, Marugelara O Raghava…, a St Thyagaraja composition of adoration to Lord Rama, a gripping Thillana song… Tharikida Thom… that had many outings in Bhagawan’s physical Presence, and the finally scintillating quawwali song, Sai Tera Pyaar Se Bhara Hey Mera Dil.
A gripping and intense session of musical adoration ‘from hearts full of gratitude’ recounting blessings infinite! Interspersing the music came beautiful commentary illustrating every single piece of offering.
Set in motion on 20th November 2001 by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the ‘Sri Sathya Sai Mirpuri College of Music’ has over the years produced an impressive talent pool of musical geniuses in different branches of music.
Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi offering to Bhagawan.
