Swarnotsava Guru’s Sankalpa Yatra

Commemorating the golden jubilee year of Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas that had its inception in 1969 at the ‘personal’ instance of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai, the Andhra Pradesh wing of SSSBV is organising a two-day Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas Gurus Meet in Prasanthi Nilayam, today and tomorrow. Swarnotsava Guru’s Sankalpa Yatra, as it is called, the meet is attended by 2000 Balavikas gurus from all of Andhra Pradesh, deliberating the essence of Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas in the next two days.

Addressing the gurus this morning on the occasion, Dr L. Sasibala, National Coordinator, SSSBV – Educational Wing, identified the movement as the Summum Bonum of all spiritual knowledge. Balvikas is not a mere educational programme, but the essence of all spiritual knowledge, said the speaker relating the story of Sri Sathya Sai Balavikas and the vision Bhagawan had for the grand mission.

Prof. V. Sakuntala, State Coordinator, Educational Wing, SSSBV, AP, then presented the annual report of the state-wide activities of the movement.

Prices for the state-level winners of SSSBV competition held for Gr-2, Gr-3, alumni and gurus were given away next for the categories, essay writing, elocution, bhajan singing, Vedam chanting, poetic recitation, etc.

As the session continued, there was a dignitary visit in Prasanthi Nilayam. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Sri Mohan Bhagwat paid obeisance at Bhagawan at the Sanctum Sanctorum this morning.

Bhajans continued and the session concluded with Mangala Arathi to Bhagawan.
