The Abode of Highest Peace

Prasanthi Nilayam means 'the abode of highest peace'. It is the main ashram of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, located near the village of Puttaparthi amidst rolling hills, with the river Chitravathi to its east. The valley houses the divine sannidhi (sanctum) of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Sai Kulwant Hall, bhajan mandir, residential complexes, the headquarters of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, its allied institutions and Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations.

Sri Sathya Sai Baba spent most of the year in Prasanthi Nilayam, and hence, this hallowed township is the destination for thousands of spiritual aspirants of varied cultures, faiths, races, languages and socio-economic strata from all over the world to behold His divine presence and experience His pure love.

Tariff (per head per day): Rs. 5 | Rs. 10 | Rs. 30 (with bunker beds)

Rooms (for families)

Office is located adjacent to North - 9 Block.

Timings: 6.15 a.m. - 8.00 p.m.

Tariff (per day):

  • Rs. 100 (unfurnished with Single Cot)
  • Rs. 150 (semi-furnished with 2 cots)
  • Rs. 250/ Rs. 300 (Furnished with 2 cots, excluding North Block rooms)
  • Rs. 50 extra for rooms with hot water facility.

Kindly Note:

  • Valid Photo ID: Valid Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, PAN Card, Ration Card, Photo identity cards issued by Central/State Government for their employees, Nationalised Bank Passbook with photograph, Student Identity Card with photograph issued by recognized School / College for their students/ Aadhar card.
  • Nepali Citizens must necessarily carry their valid passports.
  • Individuals are provided Dormitory accommodation.
  • A day is 24 hours from the check-in time.

Kindly Note:

  • Overseas devotees are required to fill in a registration form to complete the registration process. This form is available at the registration office or it can be downloaded in advance. Large groups with more than 25 members are advised to keep the filled-in registration forms ready so as to save time. Click here to view / download this form.
  • Individuals are provided Dormitory accommodation.
  • Foreign nationals holding Tourist Visas with multiple entry facility are required by law to ensure a gap of at least 2 months between consecutive visits to the country. * An additional Rs. 50 is charged for rooms with Hot Water Facility.

All payments towards accommodation charges must be made in cash (in Indian rupees) only. Payment by cards are also being accepted.
